Ready to order a Rainbowdog portrait? Here's how it works.1. Send me an e-mail at janetburt@verizon.net. Let me know you’re interested in placing an order, and I can put you on my schedule. In the e-mail, please include:
Name of your pet(s) to be painted Size of portrait you want Photos of your pet, if you have them in digital format. It's usually helpful to send several photos, if possible. That way, I get a better idea of your pet's appearance and personality, and can choose a photo that I think will make the most successful portrait. (Photos can be sent via snail mail if you only have traditional prints. All prints will be returned with the finished painting.) Check out the photo tips page for pointers on which photos make good portraits. 2. I will contact you via e-mail to discuss details, such as which photo I will work from, size recommendation (e.g., if you've chosen a rectangle when I think a square would work better), and any color preferences you might have. 4. When the portrait is complete, I will e-mail you a digital photo of the painting for your approval. Minor changes can be made at this point, if necessary. Once you have approved the painting, please send me a check or money order for the balance. If the painting needs to be shipped, I will advise you of the additional shipping costs before-hand (fairly minimal). I ship portraits fully-insured via USPS ground or FedEx. 5.
